WARRANTY

A WRITTEN WARRANTY IS SUPPLIED WITH EACH PURCHASE AND STATES THAT EACH REMANUFACTURED ENGINE, CYLINDER HEAD AND CRANKSHAFT SHALL BE FREE, UNDER NORMAL USE AND WITH PROPER INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE, FROM ANY DEFECTS IN MATERIALS AND FROM DEFECTS CAUSED BY THE WORKMANSHIP OF CAROLINA MACHINE ENGINES.

                                            STANDARD ENGINE WARRANTY

The standard warranty for passenger car/light truck engines is 12 Months-12,000 Miles. During the first ninety days field labor and engine shipping are paid. CME will repair or replace engine or furnish parts for repair for the entire duration of the warranty at no charge.

For marine, antique and performance engines, the warranty is 12 Months-12,000 Miles, repair or replace or furnish parts to repair engine at no charge.

For applications in non-automotive, off highway, industrial, motorhomes, and block assemblies the warranty is 6 Months-6,000 Miles, repair or replace or furnish parts to repair engine at no charge.

For NON supercharged, NON turbocharged and NON nitrous oxide CME complete and dynamometer tested racing engines the warranty is 30 days with the purchaser paying for the parts used in the repair of the engine. There is no warranty for "racing" longblocks or block assemblies.

                                    36 MONTH OPTIONAL ENGINE WARRANTY

A 36 Month-50,000 Mile optional warranty is available for passenger car/light truck engines. During the first ninety days field labor and engine shipping are paid. CME will repair or replace engine or furnish parts for repair for the entire duration of the warranty. The price for this warranty is $150.00 and must be purchased within 30 days of the purchase of the engine.

                                   FIVE YEAR OPTIONAL ENGINE WARRANTY

A Sixty Month-100,000 Mile optional warranty is available for passenger car/light truck engines when not used for commercial use or towing over 2000 pounds. During the first 12 months field labor and engine shipping are paid. CME will repair or replace the engine for the entire duration of the warranty. The price for this warranty is $250.00 and must be purchased within 30 of the purchase of the engine.

Field labor time is based on the "MOTORS" flat rate manual and is limited to fifteen hours maximum per engine. The amount to be paid to professional installers (automotive businesses with license) is $30.00 per hour for the 12 month and the 36 month warranties and $50.00 per hour for the 60 month warranty. The amount to be paid to non-professional installers is $15.00 per hour for the 12 month and 36 month warranties and $25.00 per hour for the 60 month warranty.

This is a brief desrciption of the CME warranty. The actual warranty supplied with the engines is more detailed and is official.

Please note that "Racing" a non-racing engine instantly voids that engine's warranty. This includes on track and off track as well as time and test runs at the track.
